Little Lifesavers

Little LifeSavers Charity was founded by Dr Barbara Stanley in West Sussex in 2016. The charity recruits volunteers and trains them to deliver its 70 minute, FREE, lifesaving skills session to schools around the UK (wherever we have pools of volunteers). The session is suitable for all school children in years 5-8. The children learn how to carry out: - Safe approach - Hands only CPR on an adult - Hands only CPR on a child - The recovery position It is the charity aim to educate children and equip and empower them with the knowledge they gain from our lifesaving skills workshop. With 80% of cardiac arrests happening at home and the UK’s survival rates for cardiac arrests which occur outside a medical setting, standing at a dismal 8%, we believe it is so important for everyone to know how to do CPR. We have taught just over 19,000 children to date and we receive a wealth of positive feedback from the teachers and schools we visit telling us how valuable our session has been.
