This award will be used as unrestricted funding towards our core costs. In practical terms, £5,000 is equivalent to the project costs of delivering activities for 11 children’s groups over a 12-month period, reaching 300 attendees. Through these groups, children and families take part in group activities and days out in a safe and welcoming environment, helping them to build friendships, connect with others and feel part of a supportive community. Children are able to build confidence and feel less alone, while parents and carers develop connections with others who understand their journey.
