The Health Agency is a community-led charity in Wester Hailes, supporting over 2,000 people each year to lead longer, healthier and more fulfilling lives. We work alongside people facing poverty, poor physical and mental health, isolation and inequality - all of which impact health, wellbeing and life opportunities.
We provide information, advice and practical support that helps people take control of their health and make positive changes that matter to them. This includes improving access to healthy food, supporting people to become more active, strengthening mental wellbeing through counselling and peer support, and helping those affected by cancer and long-term conditions to better manage their health. We also create welcoming spaces where people can connect, build relationships and feel part of their community.
At the heart of our work is a simple belief - everyone has the right to live well. This funding helps us turn that belief into reality. Supporting people to move from simply surviving to truly thriving, feeling hopeful, connected and able to shape better futures for themselves and their community.
