What our donation will help fund

The donation from Benefact Group will directly support the ongoing work of Knitted Knockers of Northern Ireland in providing handmade, free breast prosthetics to individuals who have undergone mastectomy or breast surgery as well as supporting the work we do with the Breast Friends Clubhouse and the Pink Ladies Secondary Breast Cancer support groups. These funds will be used for core running costs and programme costs.

The difference this funding makes is both practical and deeply personal. It enables us to continue offering a compassionate, dignified option that improves comfort, confidence, and wellbeing. Ultimately, it ensures that no one who needs a Knitted Knocker goes without, helping us to expand our reach and support even more individuals on their recovery journey.

Knitted Knockers of Northern Ireland exists to provide comfort and confidence to women following mastectomy surgery. Our volunteers lovingly create soft, lightweight prosthetics that are offered completely free of charge, ensuring that anyone who needs one can access a practical and compassionate alternative without financial burden. KKNI also runs Breast Friends Clubhouse and the Pink Ladies Secondary Breast Cancer support groups which are both vital to supporting those affected by Breast Cancer. The impact is deeply personal; helping individuals feel more like themselves again at a time when it matters most. This generous grant from Benefact Group will make a meaningful difference to our work. It will allow us to purchase essential materials and expand our reach, ensuring we can continue to meet growing demand across Northern Ireland. Most importantly, it enables us to support more people on their recovery journey, reminding them they are not alone.
