What our donation will help fund

This donation will directly support our fruit tree planting project. Our coordinators teach families how to grow lemon, orange, mango, guava, papaya, tangerine and avocado trees. They will not only benefit from the fruit to eat but will be able to sell any surplus and raise an income. There are also 21 schools and three health clinics are also benefitting from the project.

The £1,000 award will support 10 families, by providing 1,000 fruit trees between them.

Ripple Africa is a unique charity who work within communities in Malawi, providing a hand up and not a hand out. This award will help families access improved nutrition while also giving them the means to start their own businesses, enabling them to build sustainable paths out of poverty.
