We provide low-cost veterinary treatment to the pets of people in receipt of certain means-tested social welfare payments and provide a horse ambulance service at all major equestrian events on the island of Ireland.

What our donation will help fund

The Benefact Group’s generous donation of £1,000 will make a meaningful and immediate difference to the people we support. Through our mobile clinics, this contribution could fund more than 45 vital medical consultations, ensuring individuals have access to essential health checks, illness treatment, and preventative care. For many of our patients, these services are not easily accessible elsewhere, making each consultation critical to their wellbeing.

In addition, this funding could support over seven diagnostic procedures, including X-rays, ultrasounds, and blood tests. These investigations are often crucial in identifying complex or life-threatening conditions at an early stage, enabling timely and potentially life-saving interventions.

Overall, this donation directly strengthens our ability to deliver frontline healthcare where it is needed most, helping us reach vulnerable communities, improve health outcomes, and provide reassurance and support to those who might otherwise go without care.

"We are incredibly grateful to The Benefact Group for selecting The Irish Blue Cross as part of its 'Movement for Good' initiative, and to everyone who took the time to nominate us. Your support and belief in our work means so much. This £1,000 award will ensure that families and their pets can access essential veterinary care when they need it most. Our 10 mobile clinic locations and head clinic in Inchicore are a lifeline in providing communities with accessible, low-cost veterinary care to pets whose owners might otherwise struggle to afford treatment. This kind donation will have a real impact, helping us treat some of the thousands of sick and injured pets we care for each year. It is also a powerful example of how individual nominations can come together through the 'Movement for Good' initiative to create life-changing outcomes. As we rely heavily on donations to continue our work, this contribution makes a difference to both pets and the families who love them.”
