Our organisation, the Middlesex Association for the Blind, supports people who have visual impairment in the London boroughs of Brent, Barnet, Ealing, Enfield, Harrow, Haringey, Hounslow, Hillingdon and Richmond.
We have several services that all aim to help people with visual impairment to increase their independence, reduce their isolation and improve their mental wellbeing. These include a Home Visiting Service, Rapid Response Counselling, IT training, an Employment Service and Braille Training. The impact of our work is best understood in the words of our service users: Devon, "I was a broken man. MAB is the organisation that helped me to rebuild my life." With your funding contribution in 2026 we will continue to deliver all of our services, increasing the number of people we support on a weekly basis.
What a wonderful surprise to be drawn as a beneficiary of this draw! Having the support of the Benefact Group in 2026 will help us to continue to provide a high quality service to people with visual impairment in the London boroughs in which we work. We are so grateful to the Group for this support, as being a charity, we are 100% dependent on grants and donations for the work that we do.
