Embers Woodcraft

Registered charity number: Exempt
Embers provides a place in nature in the UK or abroad that supports serving and ex military and 999 and related personnel that are dealing with their own mental battles.

What our donation will help fund

The incredible donation of £1000 to Embers will fund approximately 8 months of food and provisions for the camps we do every month in the woods. This all goes towards creating a safe place in nature and making an environment where we believe these people can slow down in their own time and make new connections with other like minded people who understand some of the experiences they themselves have had. By covering these costs we can re direct some of our limited funds to develop further experiences to those we feel will benefit the most from them.ie trips to Scotland/Africa, which we heavily subsidise as we believe experiences like these can turn a life around and we would like to be able to make them available to deserving people who otherwise may not be able to afford them.

Embers is here to help look out for serving and ex military and 999 service personnel who are suffering in silence with their own mental resilience. We do this by creating a place in nature, around a campfire where we provide good food and a space where all can talk freely. The grant of £1000 will help fund this setting and good food allowing us to free vital resources so we can continue to grow and make more of a wider impact on the people who are in need of support.
