Headlines Craniofacial Support

Registered charity number: 1058461
Established in 1993, Headlines Craniofacial Support is the UK’s only national charity dedicated exclusively to supporting those affected by craniosynostosis and rare craniofacial conditions.

What our donation will help fund

Families affected by rare craniofacial conditions often face significant challenges, including social isolation, stigma, bullying, and complex medical journeys. Many families report that they have never met another person with the same condition. This isolation can have a profound impact on emotional wellbeing, confidence, and resilience.

The donation will be used to towards our Annual Family Weekend, the only national residential event in the UK for children and families affected by rare craniofacial conditions. Held each summer, it brings together families from across the country for a weekend of connection, emotional support – and fun.

The event includes:

- Peer support for parents and carers
- Confidence building activities for children and young people
- Sessions for siblings and dads
- Social activities that promote inclusion and belonging
- Travel bursaries for low income families.

For many attendees, this is the only opportunity all year to meet another family with similar experiences. The grant from Movement for Good will enable us to continue delivering this unique, life changing event for families who often have nowhere else to turn.

The grant from Movement for Good will help towards the costs of the 2026 Family Weekend, a unique, life-changing event which brings families affected by rare craniofacial conditions together from across the UK for a weekend of connection, emotional support and fun. As a very small charity with very limited resources, the grant will make a huge difference to our work in supporting those with rare craniofacial conditions, many of whom have nowhere else to turn.
