Kotor Kitties

Registered charity number: 1189591
Kotor Kitties helps the homeless cats of Montenegro live healthier lives and reduces the homeless population through spaying and neutering.

What our donation will help fund

A donation of £1,000 is a significant and much-needed contribution toward our ongoing veterinary costs, helping us continue our vital TNR (trap–neuter–return) work. With this amount, we can sterilise approximately 35 community cats, directly reducing the number of unwanted litters born on the streets. Each procedure not only improves the health and wellbeing of the individual cat but also prevents the birth of hundreds of kittens who would otherwise face short, difficult lives without adequate food, shelter, or medical care.

By supporting this work, the donation helps create a sustainable and humane approach to managing the community cat population. Over time, TNR leads to healthier, more stable colonies and a noticeable reduction in suffering. This generous contribution therefore has a lasting impact, improving the lives of both current and future generations of cats while supporting the communities that care for them.

We are incredibly grateful to the Benefact Group for this £1,000 donation, which will make a meaningful difference to Kotor Kitties' work on the ground. With this support, we can sterilise around 35 community cats, preventing the birth of hundreds of kittens who would otherwise face short and difficult lives on the streets. Our TNR program is a humane and effective way to manage the population, improving the health and wellbeing of existing cats while reducing long-term suffering. This generous contribution helps us continue our mission and creates lasting, positive change for both the cats and the communities who care for them.
