R:evolve Recycle aims to reduce the impact of fast fashion on our planet by offering products and services which help people to think differently about their clothes. From swap shops, clothing banks, thrift stores, haberdashery to workshops and pop up shops, we help people to see that second hand is not second best, seeing the value in what we already own and sharing it with their community.
We are delighted to be the recipients of the Benefact Groups - Pay it Forward fund! R:evolve Recycle was established in 2015 from our local communities concerns about the throw away culture we see today. We encourage people to reuse their clothing by creating a platform for them to share their clothes, shoes and accessories with their local community, through our swap shop, clothing bank and thrift stores. We also run workshops to help people learn skills in mending and upcycling textiles. Since 2015 we have extended the life of almost 200 tons of clothing, steering it away from landfill and back out into our community. Giving easy access to quality clothing and a way for people to look good and feel great - that doesn't cost the earth. This fund could not have come at a better time for us as our refurbished office computers are nearing the end of their life, slow, outdated and unreliable. We are delighted that this fund will help us to buy more up to date computers to help us be more efficient in the day to day operations of our charity.

What our donation will help fund
As a charity that diverts waste from landfill we believe in the power of mending and upcycling. However our current refurbished office computer system is now well out of date, slow and unreliable. This donation has come at a perfect time for R:evolve Recycle as our computers are in real need of an upgrade. This fund will help us to buy new computer equipment for staff and volunteers to ensure that we can work as effectively as possible in the coming years.
