Steel Bones

Registered charity number: 1174189
Steel Bones is a charity created by amputees and their families for the amputee community, dedicated to empowering amputees and their families to live life to the fullest by providing support and working with trusted partners while recognising that every amputee’s journey is unique.

What our donation will help fund

A £2,000 donation will help Steel Bones produce and distribute vital support packs for newly amputated individuals and their families, providing practical information, wellbeing resources and inspirational stories from other amputees who have rebuilt their lives. It will also help us run inclusive community activities and peer support sessions, where trained amputee volunteers mentor those adjusting to limb loss, helping them regain confidence, reduce isolation and feel part of a supportive community that understands their journey.

Steel Bones exists to ensure that no amputee or their family faces limb loss alone. Every week we see the life-changing impact of connection, peer support and practical guidance from people who truly understand the journey. This grant will help us reach more amputees with vital support packs, mentoring and inclusive community activities that rebuild confidence, reduce isolation and remind people that life after limb loss can still be full of opportunity, purpose and joy.
