We're the river restoration charity standing up for, enhancing and protecting Eden's rivers so that Cumbria's people and wildlife can thrive - we're rethinking rivers for good.
The donation helps us to ensure Eden's rivers can adapt to our changing climate and address the biodiversity crisis. It helps us explore more opportunities to restore rivers and improve water quality, as well as undertake essential groundwork needed to successfully reintroduce native species lost to Eden's rivers and countryside.
This grant helps to power our charity, enabling us to build our team of knowledgeable, passionate people who work closely with partners and local communities to get things done; working together to find innovative solutions to the problems facing our rivers and wildlife and delivering projects that result in more resilient rivers, businesses and communities in East Cumbria. This grant is especially valuable, as few grants these days are unrestricted in their use, so it will enable us to work on projects that traditionally don't attract funding, but have the potential to make a real difference to our rivers and communities.
