Ben's Den provides free holidays for children being treated for cancer and leukaemia; we have six caravans at The Haven site in Mablethorpe and one at Tattershall Lakes Sleaford.
The donation will allow us to provide more holidays for children with cancer. It gives families the chance to have a break together as a family. Quality family time is a rarity when a child is undergoing treatment and they are constantly in and out of hospital. The holidays we provide are free of charge to the families so this donation will make a huge difference and allow us to give the families something to look forward too.
Ben's Den was set up in memory of our son Ben, who unfortunately lost his battle with Leukaemia. Through numerous fund raising events and huge support and generosity from the community over the last 21 years we have been able to purchase 7 caravans to provide much needed respite from the hospital life. The caravan holidays are provided free of charge and allow families to spend quality family time together and enjoy the freedom and fresh air of the sea side. This grant will allow us to provide more, much needed breaks and contribute towards many more happy, precious memories being made by the families.
