What our donation will help fund

People in low income households are at a significantly higher risk of experiencing mental health issues and much less likely to be able to access suitable and/or timely support. This donation will go towards the costs associated with delivering sessions of free community-based counselling, art and play therapies to adults, children and young people in Chester.

We aim to stop the cycle of poor mental health being passed down from one generation to the next and, through early intervention, prevent poor mental health becoming a life-long disability.

People experiencing the most significant disadvantages in life face the greatest risks to their mental health, and the pressures on individuals and families are increasing. The team at Platform for Life is working hard to stop the cycle of poor mental health being passed down from one generation to the next within our local community. This grant will go towards the costs associated with delivering sessions of free community-based counselling, art and play therapies to adults, children and young people in Chester. Demands are growing on our service and we are very grateful for this fantastic contribution towards our work.
