The donation from the Benefact Group Pay it Forward initiative will be used to provide financial and emotional support to children and young people with heart disease in Northern Ireland. Families of children with heart disease often face significant financial burdens due to prolonged hospital stays and travel for treatment. We provide financial assistance to ease these burdens, ensuring families can focus on their child’s recovery. As well as this we provide vital emotional support when in hospital. The emotional toll of a child’s diagnosis can be overwhelming. Our dedicated family team provides a listening ear and helps parents navigate the emotional challenges of having a child with heart disease. Additionally, we provide professional counselling and coping strategies to help families manage anxiety. As a charity we receive no Government funding so these wonderful donations will help us to continue to provide the vital care and support when families need it most.
