Macmillan Cancer Support

Registered charity number: 261017
Macmillan Cancer Support exists to help improve the lives of people affected by cancer - those with cancer and their families, carers and communities. We are a source for support, helping anyone affected by cancer navigate through the system to get what they need, and a force for change, working to improve cancer care.

What our donation will help fund

Cancer is everywhere. Cancer support needs to be too. One in two of us will receive a cancer diagnosis at some point in our life. Macmillan Cancer Support is a vital lifeline when cancer hits. But we can only be there with your help.

Our Macmillan Support Line allows people affected by cancer to access a wide range of support either over the phone, via email, or online. Our teams can answer questions about cancer types and treatments, provide clinical, practical, emotional, and financial support to help people living with cancer and their loved ones, and are there if someone just wants to talk.

We want to reach everyone, whilst focusing on those who need the most support. We will ensure everyone with cancer in the UK has access to the information and support they need, when they need it, focusing on those with the worst experiences to make cancer better for all.

£20 could support someone through such a difficult time, via our dedicated support line. The money will be used to fund our vital services across the UK - in the communities you live and work in.

Every hour funded means expert help and more precious time to talk through emotions. Someone’s world will have been turned upside down – this donation will help us provide that space and time to support somebody at the worst moment in their life.

This fantastic donation will make a real difference for people living with cancer, funding vital support services for those who need it most and helping ensure no one has to face cancer alone. Our latest annual report reveals that 110,000 people were supported via the Macmillan Support Line. With this support we could reach 1,000 more, this would be a huge support to those facing cancer and help deliver a vital lifeline to them at a crucial time of need. We are committed to being there for everyone affected by cancer, no matter what their circumstances and we are putting communities and participation at the heart of what we do
