The Feast Youth Project

Registered charity number: 1146574
The Feast brings together young people from different faiths, ethnicities and backgrounds, to help them live well together in an increasingly troubled and diverse world, to enable them to be more confident and resilient in their identity and more able to make a positive impact in their communities.

What our donation will help fund

The Feast is a small charity, entirely dependent on donations and grants, and, like many small charities in the current climate, struggles to raise sufficient funds to meet the needs of the young people with whom we work.

All money raised goes towards running Youth Encounters, where we bring young people together for fun, dialogue and food, schools work and training. We help young people become more confident in their identity and more resilient in the face of radicalisation and societal pressures and, most importantly, give them the opportunity to make great and lasting friendships.

Our ultimate goal is to help young people live well with difference and make a difference in their communities. This donation is massive for us - it's a lifeline that will enable us continue to deliver programmes to young people in some of the most deprived parts of the country.

'If it wasn't for The Feast, I'd either be dead or in prison now'. These are the words of a young man who I met recently, who had attended one of The Feast's first residential weekends. I confess, I cried when he told me this. It is such a privilege and very humbling to be able to serve young people and know that what we do changes young people's lives. This grant from the Benefact Group means we can keep on making a difference and it will help us to support even more young people. I can't overstate how much this grant means to us. The whole team were cheering when I shared the news!
