The Second Chance Society

Registered charity number: 1002511
Second Chance Animal Rescue helps dogs, cats and other domestic animals, treating any illnesses , spaying/neutering, microchipping and vaccinating before eventually finding them a new home.

What our donation will help fund

With vet bills at over £70,000 last year and this year looking to be just as high, the money donated will go towards our vet bills. We are finding more animals are arriving in rescue needing more veterinary care due to rising costs and the people giving up or abandoning them just haven’t been able to afford the bills. More neglect, more sadness, more pain and suffering.

Our work at Second Chance Animal Rescue helps unwanted and abandoned dogs, cats and smaller animals. With increasing pressure on peoples finances we have found more animals are arriving in rescue needing greater levels of veterinary care. This has resulted in a rise in our vet bills. More cats in particular are not being neutered leading to an increase in the number of kittens in rescue too. We strive to find the best possible new homes for all of our animals.
