TRAIN is a youth work charity based in Didcot and Wallingford, providing young people with the tools, opportunities and support they need to create positive futures.
This donation will be used to fund 10 weeks of our Youth Club - keeping the doors open for young people to experience a safe space, fun activities and positive role models.
It was an amazing surprise to read that we won in the Benefact Groups Movement for Good prize. I love the ethos of the Benefact group, and they've been incredibly generous to us- we're also a beneficiary of the Ansvar Insurance's programme of giving. I get my home insurance through Ecclesiastical, partly because they provide a fantastic service and partly because I know that the profits get redistributed into the community through amazing schemes like this.
This gift has come at just the right time for us. Youth centres are closing up and down the country due to funding cuts, and this ensures we can keep our doors open to young people who deserve a space to call their own.
