Operation Childlife brings life-saving and life-transforming surgeries to children in less developed countries. In addition to bringing international medical professionals to perform surgeries, we also educate local healthcare professionals to improve their own knowledge and expertise, therefore enhancing their healthcare systems.
This incredible donation from the Benefact group is enough to fund a team of three volunteers, for a 5-day clinical mission to one of our partner hospitals in Vietnam, Tanzania, Mongolia or Jordan. Our wonderful volunteers give their time and expertise pro bono so that funding can be used for economy travel and accommodation.
An example of what a small team of our expert volunteers can achieve in one mission, was a recent visit to Jordan when 34 children from Syria, Palestine and Jordan were assessed and 19 successful eye surgeries were performed. An additional 104 medical ophthalmology consultations were provided.
