Registered charity number: 1186790

What our donation will help fund

We are seeking to use this generous donation to support our vital diabetes work for people experiencing homelessness across Bournemouth. Many of our patients are at high risk of developing diabetes but lack access to regular healthcare and early intervention. With this support, we can provide essential diabetes screenings, blood tests, and ongoing assistance to help individuals manage their condition. Alongside medical care, we also deliver tailored education about the dangers of untreated diabetes and the benefits of healthy eating, even within the challenges of homelessness. Our outreach team works closely with patients to build trust, provide practical advice, and promote small but meaningful changes in diet and lifestyle. This donation will help us prevent long-term complications, improve quality of life, and ensure that those most in need receive the care and knowledge they deserve. With your support, we can make a lasting difference in vulnerable lives.

We are so delighted and grateful to the Benefact Group for this donation. We aim to reduce and prevent additional admissions into A&E and hospital care whilst supporting people's recovery away from the streets into safe accommodation. Having the opportunity to sustain our diabetes work will help us prevent long-term complications, improve quality of life, and deliver bespoke education about healthy eating for the most vulnerable in our community. The impact will make a lasting difference to those we serve.
