Greenwich Wildlife Network

Registered charity number: 1197507
Greenwich Wildlife Network is a volunteer-run charity dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of injured, orphaned and unwell wildlife, along with a small number of abandoned or unwanted domestic animals. We also seek to educate our community about all issues related to animal welfare and the natural world.

What our donation will help fund

Your donation arrived at a time when the charity was grappling with several large vet bills as a result of urgent rescues, including a cat with a fractured pelvis and a fox whose tail became impaled on a fence. It is going to enable us to pay off an approximately £1700 outstanding balance, which has been a big source of concern for the team.

The donation will also go towards vital repairs for our aviaries in Farningham, where damaged roofing must be fixed before we enter the busy season.

We are approaching our busiest time of year—nesting season—so our expenses are about to triple as orphaned baby animals flood in. Your support has come at such crucial moment. It's going to enable us to invest in an additional incubator to regulate the temperature of neonatal birds and mammals and also invest in the supplies we'll need for the coming months.

This grant from Movement for Good is an absolute lifeline for our charity. We are entering our busiest time of year—orphan season—when neonatal birds and mammals arrive in huge numbers, and our costs for food, electricity, water, and medical care triple. On top of this, we’ve been hit with several large vet bills in recent months due to urgent cases, making this support even more critical. Receiving this funding at such a crucial moment means we can continue providing lifesaving care and invest in at least one more incubator for the vulnerable babies who need round-the-clock warmth and support. We are incredibly grateful—this will make a huge difference. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
