This donation will allow us to hold our 2nd annual ALN friendly Christmas fair. Local children with ALN, plus their siblings, will be invited to a small gathering of families where they can enjoy quiet fireworks, quiet mini fair rides, enjoy free drinks and Xmas food, and also meet Santa in a sensory Grotto with a free gift for every child. Last year we held this event for the first time, and the feedback was entirely positive, with families saying how often they had to avoid such events, or split into smaller family groups so the ALN child in the group could avoid an event whereas the other children could attend. As a controlled, invitation-only family event, the inclusivity of the evening brought joy and delight across the board, with the charity volunteers enjoying holding the event as much as the families enjoyed attending.
