What our donation will help fund

Based in Ferring, Worthing, Wadars is a leading animal welfare charity and has been rescuing wildlife and rehoming companion animals across Sussex since 1969. This £1,000 donation will help us to provide support for animals in our care that are looking for new homes. This could include dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals in need, and would fund their food, bedding, and enrichment items as well as their initial medical care. On average it can cost several hundred pounds to care for one animal whilst in our care and so this donation is a real boost.

Wadars is based just outside Worthing in West Sussex and our work involves rescuing sick and injured wildlife as well as the rehoming of companion animals. We have been providing services in our local community for more than 55 years and have helped many thousands of wild and domestic animals and birds during that time. In the Summer months we can receive up to 50 calls a day to our wildlife helpline. We are extremely grateful to everyone who nominated Wadars for the £1,000 award, which will really help towards the costs of looking after some of the animals in our care.
