Each resident is supported to pursue education, training or employment, empowering them to realise their full potential and build a brighter future.

What our donation will help fund

We would use the funding from Benefact to go towards our essential core costs. Our activities fall into two main categories - the provision of a safe home and the provision of an experienced support team.

Our house has 7 bedrooms, two bathrooms, a cosy living room and a well-equipped kitchen. We also have a bungalow which has two bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom - this is for girls who are ready for more independence, to prepare them for moving on.

Our experienced and dedicated staff, provide essential support to young women. Each girl is assigned a key-worker who offers guidance on benefits, housing, and access to additional services. Many of the young women who come to us have lacked family support, so our staff also help teach vital life skills such as cooking, nutrition, managing finances, and self-care.

We aim to provide 'what any good parent would' and provide emotional support, activities to help mindfulness and also make fun memories - we celebrate birthdays and religious holidays, take girls on days out and provide treats where we can.

A donation of £1,000 from the Benefact Movement For Good scheme can help provide vital support for young women and girls facing homelessness in Manchester. This funding will contribute towards safe accommodation, essential resources, and opportunities to rebuild their futures.
