The donation we have received from the Benefact Group will go towards essential school playpark repairs to ensure that our 400+ pupils can continue to benefit from the facility on a daily basis.
The regular class visits to the playpark are a real cause for excitement amongst the pupils who always look forward to their playpark days. There is great importance to having this facility. A playpark provides an opportunity for socialising and community building away from the formalities of the classroom. It is also a stepping stone in helping children grow into healthy young adults through building social skills and strengthening of various muscle groups. Playtime promotes imagination and creativity with opportunities to explore. Regular outdoor play also promotes sensory development which is especially important for those children whole struggle in the classroom setting.
This donation is added to funds from our other fundraising efforts to enable us to ensure that our playpark can remain in use for our whole school.
