Jelleyman's Heritage Arts Charity (JHAC) is an intergenerational charity in Kidderminster weaving together strands of the region's past, present and future via the creative arts, offering a safe space for all in the community to explore their creative potential, learn new skills, build new relationships and focus on their health and wellbeing.
The money will be divided between our community garden, community café, and creative arts projects. These projects allow us to offer healthy, positive activities in a warm and safe environment to all those in need, tackling loneliness & solation, mental & physical health issues, and intergenerational differences.
At JHAC we support both the providers and recipients of creative opportunities by offering a historic and beautifully tranquil location that maximises the benefits of positive, healthy and educational activities.
From warm space coffee mornings to classes in art, photography & ceramics, from the overwhelmingly successful Crafty Jelley wellbeing centre to the imminent launch of both a community garden and community café; from hosting popular YouTube channels to supporting small businesses and creatives... we have already helped hundreds of people to make positive change in their lives.
We are incredibly proud of the services and opportunities the charity has been able to offer so far, with no external funding at all. Everything we do is funded purely by donations and fundraising, and we have become experts in getting the maximum return for every penny spent. An injection of funds such as this award will enable us to invest in all of the above and more, helping us reach and support even more people from Kidderminster and beyond.
