Cerebral Palsy Scotland is a charity that improves the lives of children and adults with cerebral palsy through specialist therapy, support and information.

What our donation will help fund

This donation means that we can continue to provide specialist therapy for children with cerebral palsy. Therapy is the key treatment for cerebral palsy, and it is critical in helping people to reach their potential.

Our therapy sessions focus on working together with a person to try and solve the physical things they’re finding challenging day-to-day because of their cerebral palsy. It could be moving, playing, dressing, eating, cooking, communicating, or experiencing pain.

We are extremely grateful to have received this award from Benefact Group. Our specialist therapy service is a really important part of what we do to support children with cerebral palsy. While there is no cure for cerebral palsy, therapy is the key treatment for the condition, and it is critical in helping people to reach their potential. Therapy at Cerebral Palsy Scotland isn’t just about supporting the person with cerebral palsy, but everyone around them too. At therapy sessions we work hard to equip not just the person with cerebral palsy with the knowledge and skills to better understand and manage their condition, but their family, support workers, educators and others too.
