Little Green Sock Project provides essential clothing, equipment, and safety items to children affected by poverty, ensuring they have what they need for a safe and happy childhood. We support families facing financial hardship, domestic abuse, and homelessness, working alongside health and social care professionals to deliver vital items that alleviate stress and improve children’s well-being.

What our donation will help fund

This vital funding from the Movement for Good Awards helps us continue our mission to ensure children impacted by poverty have access to the essentials they need for a safe and happy childhood.

With a 47% increase in referrals in 2024, the demand for our support has never been greater. From families struggling on a single income, to those fleeing abuse, or navigating homelessness this funding will help us to meet the needs of children affected by poverty in our community. Thanks to this award, we can provide struggling families with cots for safer sleep, stair gates to prevent accidents, warm clothing, toiletries, and other essentials.

This funding is a lifeline, helping us keep our doors open and ensuring that no child goes without the basics they need. Thank you to Movement for Good for being part of this journey and helping us bring relief to families when they need it most.

Every month, we support over 100 children with the basics that no child should go without— from essentials for babies such as prams, and a safe place to sleep, to home safety equipment such as stair gates. Parents want to keep their children warm and safe, but finances are a barrier to this for many families. This donation helps us to provide a vital safety net for families facing crisis in our community so we can provide much needed relief to these families who have nowhere else to turn.
