We are a Christian charity that collects unwanted usable tools, refurbishes them, sorts them into trade tool kits, and sends them to communities in need for livelihood creation. In doing so, we also support UK communities through volunteering opportunities, and contribute significantly to environmental sustainability by reducing carbon emissions and saving approximately 1500 tonnes of tools from landfill per year in the UK. This year, 18,500 toolkits have been packed into a total of 21 shipping containers, and sent to community organisations (such as orphanages, schools, refugee centres, and skills centres) in countries across sub-Saharan Africa, including Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania. Our community of 550 volunteers across the UK works hard to raise awareness of our mission to alleviate poverty and transform lives, one tool at a time.
This kind donation will be put to our area of greatest need. It could help fund the freight cost of sending another container of life-changing tools overseas, as we plan to send an ambitious 25 containers' worth of tools in 2025. Each container will contain anywhere between 500 and 1500 individuals tools or toolkits, each of which can change not just one life but many through the process of education and skills transfer. To put it simply, this donation will assist us in assisting those who need it the most.
Everyone at Tools with a Mission would like to thank Benefact for their kind donation, which will help fund our life-changing work in the poorest regions of our world. We aim to refurbish unwanted and donated tools here in the UK, and send them overseas to where they will be used to create livelihoods and transform lives. This year, 2232 causes have been supported by the tools we send, across 550 recipient organisations in Africa such as schools, orphanages, and refuge centres. This generous grant will be put to good use by helping to fund the mission costs of identifying areas of need and sending the necessary tools. Thank you for being part of our mission!
