Bolster Community are a family and community support charity based in Newry & Kilkeel, Co. Down, Northern Ireland who work across the South Down region. We support a diverse range of our community across three core service strands of Family, Ability and Seniors. 1-1 family support, support groups, day opportunities for young adults of mixed ability and programmes for parents, children and young adults all play a part - and last year we helped over 9,000 people across all service and programme touch points. We are proud to have now been supporting our community for 20 years and will proudly continue to do so as our community need our support more now than ever.

What our donation will help fund

This donation will help with those core operational costs that keep our services running - and for which we receive no funding. It will literally help us keep our support workers on the road, our support groups going and our phone lines open so we can continue to deliver our vital family and community support services.

At Bolster Community our family and community support services are far reaching – they are here for ordinary people and families, facing extraordinary challenges across the South Down Newry & Mourne region. We are here for all ages from early years to seniors and last year our team helped over 9,000 people as demand for services continues to rise. The donation from the Benefact group will help us meet some of the core operational costs of delivering those vital services & programmes, so a massive thank you from us in supporting our work and helping our reach go that bit further.
