The most generous grant we received from the Benefact Group was used to provide free Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillator training to about 500 people, some of which would have been schoolchildren. Heartstart Malvern has now provided its free training to over 6,000 people. Without grants like this, we would not be able to offer our training free of charge.
Despite being a small local charity run completely by volunteers, the charity has provided free CPR and defibrillator training to over 6,000 people and has installed 36 public access defibrillators in Malvern since its launch in 2017. We believed that our charity helped save at least three lives in 2024 alone. We have now set an ambitious aim of training at least 10,000 people and installing out 50th defibrillator by our 10th anniversary in 2027. We can only do this by the incredibly donations from individuals and businesses such as the Benefact Group.
