Keeping Abreast are a non-medical, peer-to-peer support charity based in Norfolk but with national reach for women facing the difficulties of Breast Reconstruction surgery following a cancer diagnosis.
The vital funds kindly donated by the Benefact group helped us to continue to offer our personalised support to those faced with breast reconstruction due to a breast cancer diagnosis or the discovery of a hereditary breast cancer gene. The £1,000 donation went towards covering the costs of our telephone support line where our Support & Volunteer Coordinator directly helps those in need of advice and peer-to-peer support, as well as sending out our bespoke Comfort & Care and Pink Information Packs to hospital's across the UK.
We don’t want anyone to face the difficulty of Breast Cancer alone. Grants such as these allow us to achieve our objectives and help more people, but don't just take our word for it - see what our brave women had to say about our support:
