The Lily Mae Foundation

Registered charity number: 1149341
The Lily Mae Foundation was set up in 2010 by Amy and Ryan Jackson in memory of their daughter Lily Mae. Despite the frequency of stillbirths, there is very little public perception of the devastating impact on parents, their families and friends.

We were pretty blown away when we were told we were fortunate enough to be one of the winners. The project that the money will go towards is a very unique one-to-one baby loss support service. Anyone can go and receive generic counselling but the one big difference between that service and us is that we can guarantee the support we offer is delivered by someone who has experienced the same type of loss. We plan on using the money to bring in other bereavement support workers so we can offer more appointments for our service.

What our donation will help fund

The £50,000 grant from Ecclesiastical will enable The Lily Mae Foundation to take their Baby Loss Support Service to the next level – helping them to reach many more bereaved families that so desperately need their support. Having successfully secured a grant from MIND to cover Amy’s salary for the next 12 months, this grant means they can now recruit and train two bereaved parents to work alongside Amy, enabling them to support an additional ten clients a week over the next three years.
