The donation will help fund the Church’s free community groups. They are looking to expand their coffee mornings for families, young people and the elderly to build relationships, community participation and tackle social isolation.
The funding will support launching a new weekly toddler breakfast, which will provide healthy food for young children whilst sharing ideas about healthy eating with parents. Other community groups include an after school club and young leader mentoring scheme which provides a fun and safe environment for children, working on leadership skills, personal development and encourages them in their education; and a lunch club which offers free cooked lunch to local children during the holidays, as families struggle to provide their children with meals every day.
The £1,000 donation will enable Teesside Vineyard Church to support 80 local families.
